New York State Comptroller
BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND 13 July 2017 – Thomas DiNapoli, the man in charge of the pensions of over a million of public sector workers in New York state, visited Belfast today.
His trip included Crescent Capital to meet with the Crescent team and a number of the CEOs and company directors from the portfolio companies.
The New York State Common Retirement Fund valued at $192 billion (£147 billion) has already committed two tranches of funding to companies in Northern Ireland via Crescent Capital: £3.75 million in Crescent Capital II LP and £9 million in Crescent Capital III LP.
In total, it has invested over $20 million in Crescent, which makes it Crescent’s largest investor after Invest NI.
During his visit last week, Mr DiNapoli received an honorary doctorate from the Ulster University that recognised his investments in Northern Ireland and also his support for the peace process.
